While the vast majority of rookies still don’t have proper face scans, what we’re seeing with these numbers amounts to just about the most one could expect when adding new players to 2K21 during a pandemic.

Generally speaking, only the top 10 or so athletes on this list are truly worth consideration right now, but there’s plenty of room for upward mobility for just about everyone else. ookies obviously aren’t supposed to compete with the best in the league on day one, but there are a few strong options here.

Start a new MyCareer game from college, and these folks should be figured into your roster. These names will also be very important going forward with MyGM and MyBA as well.

While not necessarily focused on rookies per se, it’s also worth noting that Thursday’s NBA 2K21 Roster Update implemented some pretty big trades too. Al Horford will now suit up for the Thunder, Chris Paul joins the Suns and Jrue Holiday begins his tenure with the Bucks. In other words, whether you’re focused on veterans or newcomers, these most recent changes are a pretty big deal.

NBA 2K21 is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
